Product Custom Fields

Product custom fields allow you to add and manage additional fields for your products, other than the regular fields. These custom fields can be displayed with your products and can also be used as search filters for faceted product search.

Add a new custom field

To add a new custom field:

  1. From your Webx admin, go to Advanced > Product Custom Fields.
  2. Click Add New Field
  3. In Add New Field popup, enter the name of the new field.
  4. Select Field Type from Text Field and List Field.
    List fields require a list of pre-defined values when added.
  5. If List field is selected
    • Check Add to Search Filters if you want to add the new custom field to search filters
    • Check Display as Link if you want to add a link to this field when shown with the product. This link on the field displays all other products with that same field value.
  6. Select categories for the custom fields.
    • All Products: if you want to add the new custom fields for all product categories.
    • Selected Categories: Select the categories on which you want to add the new custom field.
  7. Click Save.


Add custom field values

To add values to a custom field of list type:

  1. From your Webx admin, go to Advanced > Product Custom Fields.
  2. From the list of custom fields, click Manage Values on the field you want to add values to.
  3. In Add Manage Values popup, enter a Field Value.
  4. Click Add Value
