Product Categories

Categories allow you to group similar products together. There are 3 levels of categories:

Every category must have one or more sub-categories, as the products can be marked only on sub-categories.

Add a new category

To add a new product category:

From your Webx admin, go to Products > Product Categories
Click Add New Category
In Add New Category popup, enter the name of the new category
Select Products View from List View and Grid View
Products View sets the default display style of products list in a category
Enter the URL of your product category or simply use the Auto-Generate URL option to generate a unique SEO optimized URL of your product category
Enter SEO related content. If left blank, category name and description is used by default
Click Save

To add a new sub category:

From your Webx admin, go to Products > Product Categories
From product categories list, click New Sub Category in front of the parent category
In Add Sub Category popup, parent category is selected by default
Enter the name of the new sub category
Select Products View from List View and Grid View
Products View sets the default display style of products list in a category
Enter the URL of your product category or simply use the Auto-Generate URL option to generate a unique SEO optimized URL of your product category
Enter SEO related content. If left blank, category name and description is used by default
Click Save
